HMMS Honored as a Spotlight School
Nine Middle Schools Get Regional Honor

The New England League of Middle Schools has named nine
Connecticut schools, including Hartford Magnet Middle School,
as Spotlight Schools.
The organization has identified 40 schools in New England
for the honor.
The league gives the designation to schools that have implemented
effective middle school practices and improvements in curriculum,
attendance and safety. The designation is for a three-year
period.
Other schools that were honored are: Scofield Magnet Middle
School in Stamford; Griswold Middle School in Rocky Hill;
East Lyme Middle School; Fairfield Woods Middle School in
Fairfield; Mystic Middle School; Nathan Hale Middle School
in Norwalk; Winthrop Middle School in Deep River and Old
Saybrook Middle School.
